Delivering on the Key Fitness Trends for 2018

On Wednesday CNN published an article on the top fitness trends for 2018. Rounding out the top five are:

  1. High-intensity interval training also known as HIIT
  2. Group training (classes involving more than five participants)
  3. Wearable technology (activity trackers and smartwatches)
  4. Body weight training
  5. Strength training

It’s good to see the industry catching up to us. Since 2011, HIT Training has been focused on all of these with the exception of wearable technology. However, our members personally track their training sessions and most burn anywhere from 500 to 1,000 calories.

The other trends identified in the Worldwide Survey of Fitness Trends for 2018 are core and  sport-specific training, yoga, circuits, flexibility and mobility. The good news is we integrate all of these in our class and personal/group training curriculum, plus boxing and kickboxing which provide a turbocharged total body and cardio workout experience.
