Recipe of the Week: Greek Lamb Burgers

Greek Lamb Burgers

Gyro flavors in a burger recipe. Omit the Tzatziki sauce for dairy restrictions.


  • One pound ground lamb meat
  • One teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • One teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped
  • One tablespoon lemon juice
  • Two large garlic cloves, minced
  • One tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground pepper


Mix together all ingredients and let sit in fridge for 20 minutes for flavors to come together. Pre-heat grill pan on medium heat. Grill about four minutes each side.

Tzatziki Sauce:

  • Six ounces plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • One tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • Two teaspoons lemon juice
  • One teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • Two large garlic cloves, minced
  • One teaspoon chopped dill
  • Salt and pepper

Mix all of the ingredients for your Tzatziki sauce in a medium bowl. Cover and place in the fridge until you are ready to serve your burgers.
