Starting this month, HIT Training will host a monthly seminar on various topics ranging from nutrition and sports performance to hands-on sessions focused on proper lifting and training techniques. These seminars are open to members as well as your friends and family. The first seminar, “Nutrition 101,” will be held on Saturday, September 19 at 11:15 AM here in the gym.
Based on your feedback, both directly and from surveys, eating clean has always been a key topic. We invited Tom Mantos, a clinical nutritionist with over 30 years of experience to provide information on how to improve your nutrition, eat better and enable you to accelerate your fitness and wellness goals. The seminar will offer insight on the following topics:
Proper nutrition to maximize fat loss and muscle gains
How nutrition can enhance endurance activities
The impact nutrition has on improving strength output
The role nutrition and homeopathic medicine has on preventing (and recovering from) injuries
Pre- and post-training foods to consider and avoid
Since 1983, Tom Mantos has practiced clinical nutrition for a wide variety of health problems. Additionally, he works with medical doctors interested in a holistic approach to health. In 1995, Tom became involved in homeopathic medicine under the teachings of the world renowned Dr. Luc DeSchepper. Tom’s practice, the Center For Alternative and Preventive Medicine, is located in Red Bank. Aside from his clinical profession, Tom has been involved in a wide variety of sports over the years including collegiate wrestling, bodybuilding and powerlifting, boxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
In conjunction with the seminar, our friends at Eat Clean Bro will be on hand to provide a taste of their menu selections.
To reserve your spot for the Nutrition 101 seminar, please RSVP by September 17 at noon. Looking forward to seeing you on the 19th.
