This month's seminar focused on the clean, a key component of strength training and Olympic lifting.
Collis Spann hosted the free, hands-on session last Saturday. It broke down the fundamental techniques of the clean, a common movement for strength training. This lift is a technical movement that is integrated into our strength and conditioning class programming and training sessions. Mastering it helps improve power, speed, stability, balance and mobility.
The seminar focused on the mechanics of the clean. Participants of all skill levels learned the proper technique, emphasized by a series of repetitive lifts. The session concluded with a brief workout to reinforce the clean.
Future seminars will focus on other Olympic lifts and movements. They offer a great opportunity to learn fundamentals and improve on your existing skills and knowledge of these core lifts.
